We started the game in the worst possible way straight from our kick-off, The ball went to the midfield and we lost it and goal.

This first half was difficult to see any positive play going forward but our defensive work was solid at times with Jerome and Senzo saving the right hand side many times.

Sandhurst definitely had a lot of confidence from that early goal and it didn’t make it easier for us

We did have 2-3 chances that we should have put away but we were unlucky.

Danilo hit the bar unlucky, just not going our way.

Both these goals were avoidable and poor for us and it was turning out to be a long morning for us for sure.

Team talk ? I was honestly disappointed with this first-half performance. We can’t keep waking up in the second half. I also changed formation to try and boost attacks.

Football is a game of 2 halves and we created much more this half, We could have scored a few more goals, JJ with a few great opportunities just a bit unlucky.

Just want to shout out Senzo, Jerome and Max, couldn’t really fault you guys and the communication between you 3 is very strong. Vocally strong also.

Things we could have done better.

1. Reading the game. Closing down passing lines instead of just running to the ball then you are easily beaten.
2. ⁠When we make a mistake the hunger to fight for it back after needs improving.
3. ⁠supporting the player with the ball. Playing in silence has to stop.
4. ⁠from kick stop going back to Max, positive play going forward and test them within the first 1 min of the game. We would avoided that goal if we paid attention.

Sandhurst won the first half and we won the second half but in football, it’s all about the fine margins,

If we could have kept the scores at 2-0 first half we could have given ourselves a better opportunity to come back.

Give our team credit for trying to come back in the game not conceding in the second half, and scoring 2 goals.

We will work on the negatives together.
